Saturday Night Top-10 at Placerville Speedway For Braden Chiaramonte

PETERSEN MEDIA: Braden Chiaramonte and Tiner Hirst Enterprise had a strong showing at Placerville Speedway. Running 10th on Saturday night after a mid-race miscue, Chiaramonte endured contact from a spinning car while running in the Top-Five during Sunday’s Shootout finale.

Kicking the two-night Labor Day Weekend show off on Saturday night, the El Cajon, CA resident timed the Tiner Hirst Enterprise/HRP/EMI backed No. 94Th in fourth fastest in his qualifying flight.

Lining up on the pole of his heat race, Chiaramonte was hard on the throttle when the green lights flashed on. Jumping out to the lead, Chiaramonte went on to pick up the win which solidified him a spot in the Saturday night Dash as well as in the impending feature event.

Lining up fourth in the Dash, Chiaramonte picked up a spot as he finished third and took the green flag from the inside of the second row for the 30-lap feature event.

Running in third when the race came to life, Chiaramonte had a good run going until he got his right rear up over the edge in turns one and two and slipped back to sixth.

Setting into sixth, Chiaramonte continued to make solid laps until a near disaster took place in turns three and four on the 18th lap. Getting over the cushion in turns three and four and enduring contact to the left corner of his car, Chiaramonte was able to keep his machine fire as he fell back to eighth once he got back up to speed.

Tight knit race in the final laps saw a couple of multi-car battles break out and when the race came to a close, Chiaramonte capped the night off with a 10th place finish.

Back in action on Sunday night, Chiaramonte continued to show speed at Placerville Speedway as he timed in eighth fastest in time trials despite going out near the end of the qualifying session.

Finding himself back on the pole for his heat race on Sunday night, another win again locked him into the all-important Dash which set the lineup for the first four rows of the feature event.

Finishing sixth in the Dash, the youngster took the green flag from the outside of the third row on the slick surface and quickly jumped into fourth.

In fourth, Chiaramonte looked very stout as he ran with some of the best drivers in the area, and even the world as Jock Goodyer and Justin Pecked each ran ahead of him.

Slipping back to fifth as the front runners worked through traffic, a late restart drastically changed the night for Chiaramonte.
Restarting in fifth, a car ahead of him with spin in turns three and four and heavy contact was endured by Chiaramonte’s car and it resulted in his night coming to an end on the 31st lap as he was officially scored 16th.
The Tiner Hirst Enterprise Racing team would like to thank Tiner Hirst Enterprise, Hepfner Racing Products, EMI, Fisher Racing Engines, System 1, Larry Davis Farms, and Slade Shocks for their continued support.
