Braden Chiaramonte Racks Two Top-10’s at Chico’s Fall Nationals

PETERSEN MEDIA: One week removed from some tough luck in Petaluma, CA, Braden Chiaramonte and the Tiner Hirst Enterprises team were back in action in Chico, CA for the annual Fall Nationals, and the youngster from El Cajon, CA had a strong showing as he recorded two seventh place finishes.

“I thought he had good speed all weekend long, and timing in like we did really set us up for success,” Chiaramonte said. “Both nights we had good speed in the feature, and we got really good towards the end of both races. So good, I wish both features were a few laps longer.”

Spending his weekend at Silver Dollar Speedway for the track’s final event of the season, Chiaramonte kicked the fun off on Friday night by timing the THE/Hepfner Racing Products/EMI backed No. 94TH in fourth fastest in his qualifying flight.

Lining up on the front row of his opening night heat race, Chiaramonte hooked up in a fun battle with fellow youngster, Chance Grasty. Slipping back to second, Chiaramonte fell out of a Dash lock in spot, but the finish was still plenty good enough to put him in the opening night feature event.

Gridding the field from the 10th starting position for the 30-lap feature event, Chiaramonte spent his night battling with some of the regions top drivers as he raced hard inside the Top-10.

Bouncing from 5th through 10th over the course of the 30-lapper, Chiaramonte never backed down as he searched around the tricky track. When the checkered flag flew on the opening night feature, Chiaramonte brought the THE entry home in seventh.

Back in action on Saturday night for the final event of the year at Silver Dollar Speedway, Chiaramonte didn’t quite get timed in as well as he hoped as he ended up 12th fastest in his flight.

Lining up in the third row of his heat race, Chiaramonte was able to race his way into a transfer position as he worked his way into fourth and locked into the 35-lap Fall Nationals finale.

Chiaramonte had his work cut out for himself however, as he took the green flag from the 18th starting position. When the action came to life, Chiramonte ran in 17th for the first 5 laps until the caution was needed.

As the action ramped up, Chiaramonte worked his way forward. Breaking into 12th by the 10th lap, Chiaramonte looked like a season veteran working the high side of the Silver Dollar Speedway.

Getting into the Top-10 just past the race’s halfway point Chiaramonte continued to get a little better with each and every passing lap.

Getting into eighth on the 30th circuit, he continued to dig for more and finally took over seventh with three laps left.

Running out of laps to continue his pursuit forward, Chiaramonte capped the weekend off with a second seventh place finish.

“Really felt good at the end of Saturday’s feature,” Chiaramonte added. “Thank you to Kyle, Steven, and everyone associated with this team for all of their hard work.”

The Tiner Hirst Enterprise Racing team would like to thank Tiner Hirst Enterprise, Hepfner Racing Products, EMI, Fisher Racing Engines, System 1, Larry Davis Farms, and Slade Shocks for their continued support.

ON TAP: Tiner Hirst Enterprise and Chiaramonte will now link back up with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour and head to Hanford, CA on Friday night.
