PETERSEN MEDIA: Continuing to follow the Sprint Car Challenge Tour’s 2024 schedule, Braden Chiaramonte took part in the recently completed Western Speedweek which saw him take part in six-races in six-nights across California and Oregon. When all was said and done, the youngster from El Cajon, CA recorded a trio of Top-10 finishes all of which came at tracks he had never seen before.

Making his first ever trip to Oregon to compete in a Winged 360ci sprint car, Chiaramonte wasted no time acclimating to the new tracks. With Cottage Grove Speedway the host of the opener, Chiaramonte kicked his trip off with his best run of the week.

Taking a liking to the slick bullring, Chiaramonte was able to work his way through the field as he closed the night out on the podium and scored a third place finish.

Having a very good night to start off the week, Tuesday night saw the scene shift to the coast, as the series invaded Coos Bay Speedway. With cooler temps greeting teams, rains played a part in the night and caused several delays to the start of the program.

Once the action came to life, Chiaramonte again was able to figure the new track out as he timed in eighth fastest in time trials. Lining up 11th in the feature event, the youngster was able to pick up a few positions on the lighting fast surface as he worked his way forward to a seventh place finish.

Douglas County Dirt Track marked the final leg of Speedweek in Oregon on Wednesday night, and Chiaramonte took a quick liking to the slick speedway that featured a cushion up on the wall much of the night.

Riding the high side through his heat race and his feature event, the El Cajon, CA native left an impression as he worked from 11th to record a ninth place finish in a fast paced feature event.

Unfortunately, once the Speedweek returned to CA, bad luck seemed to hinder Chiaramonte and the Tiner Hirst Enterprise team. Struggling to find his footing at Marysville Raceway on Thursday night on a very slick surface, Chiaramonte was relegated to a 21st place finish, before engine issues on Friday night in Chico, CA kept him out of the feature event.

Hoping to have one final good run to cap the week off on Saturday night in Placerville, CA, Chiaramonte was running well inside the Top-10 until he had some help getting over the cushion in turn four, forcing him to bring out the caution and restart from the tail end of the field.

From 20th, he still managed to get his elbows up and race his way back up to 14th when the checkered flag flew on the race, and ultimately Speedweek 2024.

The Tiner Hirst Enterprise Racing team would like to thank Tiner Hirst Enterprise, Hepfner Racing Products, EMI, Fisher Racing Engines, System 1, Larry Davis Farms, and Slade Shocks for their continued support.

ON TAP: Chiaramonte and Tiner Hirst Enterprise are TBD on their next event.
